Psycho art and homemade

In Chicago for 6 days and fell in love again as expected. The people, the art, the trains, the history, the snow, the ice, the stores...oh the thrifting! Holidays are super in the Midwest- mixed with tradition and weird findings.
I cherish Christmas presents that people make for me. I made all my give aways- not sure my 7 yr. old nephew liked his electric blue owl (when compared to his new high tech game boy... "um thanks aunt lynnea". )...but i sure love this crazy cat picture my brother made for me. It's already up on art wall.

At Village thrift I found a 1 inch square patchwork quilt for a twin bed (I'll have to finish the backside) for $4! Each square is hand sewn. And as much as I love making everything...this kind of detail would make me suicidal.

hibernation weekend

Skeleton bunnies :

With the snow, sleet, rain, wind and cold, I locked myself in my apartment and worked like a maniac. Galacticraft is next Sat. at Galactic Boutique. 6pm- 9pm. I'll have my groupies in a line up. Although after 16 hours of work I slipped into a slight depressive state, it was well worth it.

Electric Owls

Wool glitter scarves (I love the word "scarf" As in, "I scarffed down all the mashed potatos")

Skeleton Iron on's are RAD:

I found the wool from these scarves (and other things to come) outside my work by the dumpster. FREE. A whole bolt. I'm thinking I may need a jumpsuit. There's enough left.

I mus'nt forget my little friends from the 50 cent moomoo. i still have a TON of this fabric left:

And last, (but not least) Lolita. I rescued her from the circus!:
